Review of SubmitYourArticle

An important fact:
You can receive lots of FREE content from various article submission services, such as Article Marketer, Isnare, Unique Article Wizard, Submit Your Article and even more. The great thing is you can choose what categories of articles you have delivered, and you get new articles every day. Therefore, your database is constantly growing.
Some of these article directory allows to use a script with which you to automatically connect with these services. That means you have nothing to set, the articles can appear on your blog in the desired categories that you set at beginning, when you install that script (plugin in WordPress).
Even if is an easy method I cannot recommend it. For a quality content on your blog you have to manual ly edit each article and from security reasons I prefer to receive the content in my email – from where I can edit and then approve it. Indeed, it is need a bit of work, but the gain in quality of the posted content and in security of my blog does not have equivalent.
How to WordPress – What is WordPress
In the past I built websites, I have had blogs in different platforms: Blogger, WordPress(both), Drupal or other like: Tumblr, Posterous, TypePad, more other. Not just a personal opinion – you can be here for the first time, still you do not know me, nothing about my knowledge or skills – but even the head of the web spam team at Google, Matt Cutts stressed the advantage in mechanics and structure for SEO of a WordPress Platform… Recently, I gained information from multiple sources and the rest from my personal experience and now you can learn better What is WordPress.
There it is a difference between WordPress “.com” and “.org” and the distinction “can cause some confusion”- WordPress.com is a hosting platform that utilizes the same WordPress software that anyone can download from WordPress.org… That means in WP.com you have access to an account and your blog will be hosted in WP.com servers, while from WP.org, by using one of the methods, you have to download the WordPress software and to install it in your desired hosting services. To a large flexibility and optimization, I kindly recommend the last solution – the WP blog to be entirely in your control on your own hosting server.
On Internet you can find different web hosting services like would be: BlueHost, HostMonster, DreamHost, HostGator, Inmotion, GoDaddy, Lunarpages and much more. To have full control on your blog and to benefit of all features it is indicate to avoid a Free Hosting solution. After years of testing different hosting services, I personal prefer HostGator for its quality services, reliability, 100% uptime or a quick to support if it is need – read more that article to a better understanding. Quick Install WordPress Video represents a small example about their quality service:
I started with a video presentation about html, css code. You need to learn some basic principles for a completely freedom in choosing the settlement of text in page, insert a nice image or a great video in any part on your article you will want – things of this kind; in principle to obtain a personal creation, a unique blog built in your style – and that it is truly important. There are some basic principles, easy to understand and to apply for a beginner. If you want to learn more, anytime you can find free or paid courses online, like e.g.: w3schools
In any web hosting you will choose, you need to follow few steps: to choose a domain name, to register it, to start with the mysql database, to launch a web site builder application or to upload your own content, then to set it for working online. All these settings you will have to done from a single place – your web hosting service. If you have already read some of my articles, choosing and setting a domain name it is not a rocket science. The thing a big more hard to understand could be why we need a mysql database and how to set it. The next video will help you to understand all that you need for your web site or blog:
How to WordPress
The basic setting of a WordPress Blog is the first priority right after the quick install, or any other method to install WordPress you used. In WordPress support you have a detailed explanation about this setting. Even so, for many people the volume of information seems to be large in that page and hard for their understanding.
The safest way is to manually create your wp-config.php file following the instructions below as the installation script using the web interface does not work for all server setups. From all details shared in WordPress.org page, the basic settings for configuration of your blog consist in the following next three steps:
Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php:
- Locate the wp-config-sample.php file in the root of your blog – within the wordpress folder inside the wordpress directory you unzipped -.
- Rename wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php
Edit your wp-config.php
The next step for now: you need to edit your wp-config.php file for your WP blog installation. In a hosting service is easy to find the initial wp-config-sample.php in the root of your blog – specific for HostGator, in two simple steps: File Manager, then the root is public_html (if your blog is an Addon domain – or subdomain – then it will be public_html/your_subdomain/). You can execute this command through a FTP Program: FileZilla, cURL, SmartFTP, FireFTP. My preferred is Total Commander, a Christian Ghisler software.
Changing your wp-config.php by adding:
- Your database name
- Your used name to access the database
- Your password used to access the database
- The host name for your database server – in the most cases is “locallhost” but in some hosting services may differ; for most known in support page of WordPress you can find a list of settings for different hosting services, or you can contact directly your hosting company support or online documentation.
These are basic settings you have to set:
Note: The database name, user and password used when you installed mysql database.
At this point, you have a WP blog functional, well set. From here, you have to use all WordPress features, but the main are themes and some important plugins. In that blog these things are already written, you can take a look in Features Posts – in top; but many other authors have written great articles too. I hope this article to be a hand of help for people who want to start a blog in the right direction or for everyone who want to start in article marketing and do not know from where he/her has to start. And do not forget to download for FREE and follow the advices from Viral Media Marketing Ebook from the right-widget… Good luck in all you do!
